Cal. 12 ga. 30″ Whitworth steel bbls, matted tapered concave rib with dual ivory sighting beads, 2-3/4″ chambers, FULL/FULL choke, extractors and sgl selective trigger. Top rib of bbl is engraved “PIGEON GUN PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN CONN. WHITWORTH STEEL.” Chamber end of each bbl has 2-3/4″ wedge of floral and foliate scroll, muzzle end has 2″ wedge to match. The “2” size frame of “AA” quality engraving is beautifully executive in an intricate floral and foliate pattern with shaded background, center bottom of receiver in a banner is engraved “PARKER BROS”. Mounted with highly figured walnut, checkered side panels, with fleur-de-lis drop points, checkered straight grip, Hawkins vented recoil pad, blank gold oval, fully checkered splinter forend. Bore diameter: left -.729, right -.729. Bore restrictions: left -.033, right -.032. Wall thickness: left -.030, right -.030. Drop at heel: 1-7/8″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 7lbs. 11oz. LOP 13-7/8″. The book Parker Gun Identification & Serialization identify as Grade W7(AA with Whitworth steel bbls), straight grip, 12 ga, 30″, with no extras. CONDITION: Extremely fine as restored. Bbls retain nearly all of their fine factory quality restored blue finish with a few minor handling marks and faint rub mark from forend. Receiver retains 95% of its fine restored case coloring, silvering on trigger plate and across fences. Water table and standing breech are finally jeweled. Stock is sound with sharp checkering, a few minor nicks & scratches in its fine factory quality restored finish. In a few areas of border of checkering has some flaking finish. Forend is sound with good checkering, a few tiny handling marks, retains a factory quality restored finish with some lifting on borders of checkering.
