*VERY FINE PARKER BROTHERS AHE GRADE SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 235086. Cal 16 ga. 26″ bbls, matted tapered rib with dual brass sighting beads, IMP.MOD/MOD chokes, 2-9/16″ chambers, ejectors and sgl selective trigger. Top rib is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. ACME STEEL”, left bbl flat is stamped with Remington date code “RC3 November 1934”. The “1” size frame is “A” quality engraved with tight foliate arabesque scroll, ribbon with “PARKER BROS.” on each side, left side has vignette of 2 waterfowl, right side with 3 pheasants, center bottom with a bobwhite quail and on trigger plate 2 setters locked on point and on a rock below the initials “S.B.C”. Mounted with highly figured walnut, checkered side panels, fleur-de-lis drop points, fully checkered pistol grip, hard rubber sculpted grip cap with blank, gold center, checkered butt with engraved skeleton buttplate, fully checkered splinter forend. Bore diameter: left -.664, right -.664. Bore restrictions: left -.015, right -.009. Wall thickness: left -.035, right -.038. Drop at heel: 2-3/16″, drop at comb: 1-5/8″. Weight: 7lbs. 1oz. LOP 13-1/2″. The Book Parker Gun Identification & Serialization identified as grade “A6” “A” grade with Acme steel bbls, 28″, 16 ga, vent rib with sgl trigger and capped pistol grip stock. CONDITION: Very Fine. Bbls retain 98% of a factory quality restored blue finish with small scratch on left chamber, a faint rub mark from forend a few tiny handling marks. Receiver shows 30% thinning case colors, stronger on side and protected areas, silver from wear across bottom, sharp edges and across top. Stock is sound with sharp crisp checkering, some handling marks, a thin scratch on left side of comb at buttplate and retains a fine hand rubbed factory quality finish. Forend is sound with sharp checkering, a couple tiny chips on edge and retains a fine factory quality hand rubbed finish. Triggers are a bit sluggish with auto-safety, strong ejectors and shiny bores. 4-39795 BDT108 (25,000-35,000)
