*PRESENTATION DELUXE WINCHESTER MODEL 1907 SEMI-AUTO RIFLE. Cal. 351 SL. SN 22371. Scarce deluxe ’07 with 20″ tapered rnd bbl, pedestal mounted front sight & folding Lyman rear sight with a locking Lyman tang sight. Mounted with very highly figured, about 3X flame grain American walnut with “H” style checkered forearm & pistol grip stock with Winchester hard rubber buttplate. Bottom of trigger guard is inscribed “WON BY J. L. HARTRANFT / NEW YORK NOV 20 – 1909 / 30-60 YDS MATCH HURDLE RACE”. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains 95-96% strong orig blue, slightly thinned toward front end. Bbl band retains about 90% strong orig blue & receiver 60-70% thin orig blue. Wood is sound with some oil staining near receiver & minor nicks & scratches & retains most of its strong orig piano varnish finish. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bore with scattered pitting. 4-57876 JR214 (800-1,500)
