TWO KESTNER 143 DOLLS. 1) Larger of two is incised “B Made in Germany 143 6”. She has brown glass sleep eyes, open mouth with two upper teeth and is on a fully jointed German wood and composition body with straight wrists. She wears a period dark blond mohair wig over cork pate and an antique white cotton dress with pink ribbon sash. 2) Smaller is incised “Made in Germany 143 4/0”. She has blue glass sleep eyes on her original wood and composition body with one-piece arms but is jointed at the hips and knees. She has her original short blond mohair wig and crochet pink and white dress with coordinated cap. SIZE: 14″ (35cm) and 8″ (21cm) respectively. CONDITION: Larger doll has crack on right side of face with body repainted. Smaller doll is very good to excellent with minor chip to right thumb. 1-8244, 1-8245 RS (600-800)
