*PARKER BROTHERS DHE GRADE MADE WITHOUT SAFETY. SN 213356. Cal. 20ga, 28″ bbls, matted, tapered concave rib, brass front and ivory center sighting beads, IMP.MOD/IMP.MOD chokes, 2-3/4″ chambers, ejectors and single selective trigger. Top rib is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. TITANIC STEEL”. The “0” size frame has usual D grade engraving with ribbon on each side marked “PARKER BROS”, foliate arabesque scrolls with pointer on left side, setter on right, and 4 pheasants on trigger plate. Top tang made without safety. Mounted with nicely figured walnut, side panels with spear tip drop points, checkered straight grip, black vented Pachmyer recoil pad, blank silver oval, checkered splinter forend. Bore diameter: left -.620, right -.620. Bore restrictions: left -.020, right -.016. Wall thickness: left -.029, right -.028. Drop at heel:2-5/8″ , drop at comb:1-3/4″. Weight: 6lbs. 3oz. LOP 14″. The book Parker Gun Identification and Serialization identifies as Grade T13, D Grade with Titanic bbls, single trigger and ejectors, straight grip, 20ga with 28″ bbls. Its unusual to find 20ga gun made without safety. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain 95% orig blue with normal nicks, dings & scratches, a couple small areas of fine surface oxidation and rub mark on bottom from forend. Receiver has traces of orig color in protected areas with balance a blend of silver & gray patina with sharp engraving. Stock is sound with slightly worn checkering, a repair on lower right side at buttplate of a neatly inlet triangular piece of wood, normal nicks & handling marks and retains an open-grain oil finish blending with hand-worn patina. Forend is sound with moderately worn checkering, normal minor nicks & dings and retains an open-grain oil finish blending with hand-worn patina. Mechanics are good, strong ejectors with right ejector hammer not staying cocked. Gun is tight, top lever slightly left of center. Bores are bright with a couple of tiny, shallow pits. 4-40826 BDT100 (5,000-7,000)
