PENNSYLVANIA PAINT DECORATED PINE DOCUMENT BOX, CIRCA 1840. The elaborately molded rectangular hinged top fitted to the conforming box on a molded plinth raised on stylized ogee bracket feet. The whole paint decorated in a deep indigo blue trimmed with black bands and tomato red pin-striping. SIZE: 8”h x 14-1/2”l x 9-3/4”d.
