*GREENER GRADE MODEL D.H. 75 DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal 12 ga. SN 69243. Exceptional high-grade box lock DBL with 27” bbls, choked MOD/IMP-CYL with tapered concave rib that has the makers name and Birmingham address. It has DBL lump with Greener crossbolt, ejectors and single selective trigger. The receiver is DBL scalloped with scalloped fences and radiused reinforcement on each side. The wood is beautifully grained French walnut with splinter forearm having a black horn schnable tip and straight stock 14-5/8” over a wood extension with checkered butt. The trigger guard is configured right hand and it has a gold initial plate bearing the initials “J.T. McM”. The receiver is beautifully engraved in very fine foliate and arabesque patterns with a flower vignette on each side. The makers name is also engraved on each side. The top tang has “SAFE” in gold and the trigger selector has “L” in gold. The bbl water table has the usual proofs for 1-1/4 oz and is marked for 2-1/2” chambers. However, it appears that the chambers have been opened to 2-3/4”. Drop at the heel 2-1/16”, drop at the comb 1-3/8” with slight cast off. Weight 6 pound 1.4 oz. CONDITION: Bbls retain 98-99% strong original blackin. Receiver retains virtually all its original subtle case colors with minor edge wear. Wood is sound with a couple of minor bruises on the buttstock and a couple of gouges on the forearm and retains most of its fine oil finish.
