*TEXAS RANGER COLT COMBAT COMMANDER SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACP. SN 70SC57130. This pistol belonged to Texas Ranger Sgt. David Hullum, Company E, Eastland, Texas. Sgt. Hullum in an undated letter identifies this pistol and states that he carried it as his “main duty weapon while performing my duties as a Texas Ranger in Company E, the West Texas Ranger Company”. Also accompanying is a Company E personnel roster with photographs with Ranger Hullum’s picture and autograph. The pistol is described as standard Series 70 Combat Commander with electroless nickel finish and fitted with Sid Bell pewter grips that have nice foliate arabesque patterns. It has an extended thumb safety and beavertail grip safety. Also accompanied by a brown leather belt holster with the thumb strap removed, marked on the back “O Ball / Ft. Worth”. CONDITION: Very fine. Retains 96-97% orig nickel finish with slight muzzle and light edge wear. Grips are fine, mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore with some slight scuffing in the grooves.
