*LOT OF TWO REMINGTON RIFLES. (1) Model 8 Semi-auto rifle. Cal. 25-35 Rem. SN 19345. Blued finish with 22″ shrouded bbl, Lyman front sight & semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has straight grain American walnut with semi-schnable forearm & uncheckered straight stock with Remington Arms Co. hard rubber buttplate. CONDITION: Good. Overall retains about 75% plum/blue finish with light surface rust, a little heavier on shroud, with some pitting. Wood is sound & retains about 80% orig varnish. Good mechanics, dark bore. (2) Model 14-A pump rifle. Cal. 30 Rem. SN C71028. Standard grade rifle with 22″ tapered rnd bbl, replacement military style front sight & a rare Remington rear sight with 2-position peep & open apertures. Bolt has scarce early style thumb nail safety with corresponding notch in receiver. Mounted with straight grain walnut with ribbed forearm & uncheckered semi-pistol grip stock with checkered Remington UMC metal buttplate. CONDITION: About good. Metal retains 75-80% finish turned plum on bbl & magazine tube & bottom of receiver with dull blue on sides & top. Stock has several cracks in wrist with nicks, dings & gouges and retains 75-80% orig varnish. Forearm has crack on right side, shows heavy wear with a hand polished patina.
