AMERICAN VICTORIAN TREE-FORM WROUGHT IRON HALL STAND. Late 19th century. The hall stand in the form of a leafy tree centering an oval mirrorplate emitting eight branch-form coat and hat hooks. The tree ‘trunk’ fitted with a double holder for umbrellas and walking sticks simulating leafy branches. The whole joined to a root-like rectangular base fitted with a cast-iron scallop shell form drip pan, cast with the inscription “PATENTED/NOV. 16, ’69”. SIZE: 71″ h. x 29″ overall w. x 13″ d. PROVENANCE: From a fine Beacon Hill and Thomaston estate. CONDITION: In overall very fine condition. 9-94546 (600-800)
