EXTREMELY SCARCE & DESIRABLE GIRL SKIPPING ROPE MECHANICAL BANK. Manufactured by J&E Stevens. Highly coveted by all bank collectors is the Girl Skipping Rope mechanical bank. The simulation of “skipping the rope” is perfect – the body, head, feet and rope are all moving in unison with each part performing independently in its own appropriate manner. One of the reasons the bank is so rare, it was more expensive than most others and also the iron workers had great difficulty casting the iron cage around the spring mechanism. When the bank is wound one time, the girl revolves approximately 10 times. SIZE: 9″ t. CONDITION: Bank appears all original with no breaks or cracks. Overall very good with some overall chipping and wear to the bank. The key is a replacement. 1-11128 (15,000-18,000) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Fall 2011 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price. The prices noted here after the auction are considered unofficial and do not become official until after the 46th day. |
