PARKER BROTHERS GRADE 1 HAMMER GUN. SN 51092. Cal. 10ga, 30″ bbls, tapered, concave rib, single brass sighting bead, 2-7/8″ chambers, extractors and dbl triggers. Top rib is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN CONN. TWIST”. The “3” size frame is marked “PARKER BROS” on each plate with narrow parallel line border engraving. Mounted with nicely figured walnut, blank initial shield on top of wrist, checkered pistol grip, sculpted hard rubber grip cap with checkered center, Parker Dog’s Head hard rubber buttplate, checkered splinter forend. Bore diameter: left -.793, right -..790. Bore restrictions: left -.022, right -.023. Wall thickness: left -.054, right -.055. Drop at heel:3″ , drop at comb:2″ . Weight: 9lbs. 13oz. LOP 14-1/4″. This serial number is not listed in Parker Gun Identification and Serialization. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains dark brown finish with visible twist pattern, brighter on bottom under forend, thinning and blending with silver at forend area from carrying and normal nicks & dings. Receiver retains strong orig case colors on plates, top tang and trigger plate with balance thinning, blending with silver & brown patina. Stock is sound with good checkering, normal nicks & dings and a couple minor dents and retains a cleaned & hand-rubbed oil finish. Forend is sound with nice checkering, a few minor nicks & dings and retains a clean, hand-rubbed oil finish. Mechanics are crisp, nice bores with some scattered, shallow pitting mostly in right bbl. 4-40780 BDT111 (2,000-3,000)
