*EXTREMELY RARE MATEBA MODEL 6 UNICA SEMI-AUTO REVOLVER W/BOX. SN 000779. Cal. 357 Mag. Most unusual revolver with low mounted bbl in a heavy vent rib housing with hexagonal shaped 6-shot cylinder and partially concealed hammer. Mounted with a checkered 1-pc walnut grip. This unusual revolver is a take-off on the venerable Webley-Fosbery with considerable variation. The frame is open topped with central cylinder pin that pivots on the crane which is released by a lever on right rear side of frame. Cylinder has stop notches on rear face. The first shot is either single action or double action with the blow back action of the cartridge causing the slide to recoil to the rear which cocks the hammer and rotates the cylinder. When it returns to battery the hammer is cocked in preparation for the ensuing shot. The rear of frame above the hammer has a sliding hammer block that rotates upward out of the way when firing, otherwise, when there is no pressure on the trigger, it blocks the hammer from traveling forward and thereby prevents an accidental discharge. The action of the trigger simultaneously locks the cylinder release. Accompanied by its orig plastic, foam lined carrying case, disassembly tools, a spare spring and a spare cylinder release lever. Also accompanying is an orig advertising sheet, a copy of the guarantee and a copy of the instruction manual. Additionally accompanied by its orig cardboard 2-pc shipping carton. CONDITION: Appears to be new & unfired retaining virtually all of its glossy orig factory finish. Grip retains about all of its orig oil finish. Case & box are new. 4-39291 JR284 (1,250-1,750)
