PAIR ROOKWOOD BOOKENDS. Very nice Rookwood bookends, each depicting a rook standing against a row of leaves and berries. The bookends are finished in mottled green glaze and signed on the bottom with Rookwood flame mark. One is dated 1951, the other is dated 1953. The bookends retain original retailer’s paper label “Woodward & Lothrop”. The bookends are also impressed with artist’s initials “WMCD” on the back for William P. McDonald. SIZE: Each 5-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Very good to excellent, with some crazing. 5-67943 (300-500)
