ALTERED SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1841 CADET MUSKET. Cal. .60. 31″ rnd bbl. Dated 1844 on the tail of the lockplate. The bbl has been shortened, the center bbl band has been removed and the wood filled. The buttplate has been changed to a sporting style and the stock trimmed to fit. The sling swivel on the triggerguard is missing. The ramrod is replaced. A cartouche is visible on the left side of the stock but not readable. The stock has been shortened to 12″. CONDITION: Moderate to heavy pitting overall.
