*JAPANESE TYPE 14 NAMBU PISTOL. SN 97092. Cal. 8 mm Nambu. Produced in 1941 with “16.8” code on right side of frame. It has Negoya Arsenal mark in front of serial number along with another mark that is unfamiliar. Left side of frame has four Japanese characters. This pistol, having been built in wartime with rushed production, has a light brushed blue finish, approaching commercial finish. Fitted with serrated, flat wood grip panels and accompanied by an aluminum base nickeled body magazine numbered “622”. CONDITION: Very fine, all matching except firing pin which is unnumbered & magazine as noted. Overall retains virtually all of its orig arsenal finish, probably unfired. Trigger retains about all of its orig straw colors. Safety lever has a welded repair. Grips are fine, magazine is crisp. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore. 4-37258 JR455 (500-800)
