MAHOGANY ONE DRAWER MARBLE TOP WASH STAND. Circa 1815-1830. Black variegated marble top sits atop a one drawer stand having a dovetailed long drawer with rounded front and two wood knobs. Turned legs with a bottom H-stretcher. Back having a architectural style mahogany veneer backsplash. Probably Philadelphia. This would make a very nice small sideboard also. PROVENANCE: Estate of Donelson Hoopes. SIZE: 36” to top of backsplash; 29” working h. 19-1/2” d x 35” w. CONDITION: Very good. 9-70741 (800-1,200)
