KENTON ARTICULATED CAST IRON KATZENJAMMER TOY. Circa 1904 by Kenton Hardware. Toy depicts the Captain driving the cart being pulled by a mule. In the back of cart is Mama Katzenjammer spanking one of her two children. Very rare first version that was produced for only one year that includes Fritz standing at the rear. After 1904 Fritz was omitted and the hole filled. SIZE: 11-1/2″ l. CONDITION: Mama and her children and the captain appear to be replacement figures. Also, some minor touch up to the mule. Otherwise good. 1-11497 (800-1,200)
