FINE CARVED JADE TEAPOT WITH COVER. Second half 19th century. Carved from the solid, the celadon green jade kettle of depressed globular form fitted with a circular lid with lotus blossom finial, each side carved with a scrolling cartouche of leaf tips within guilloche carved borders. SIZE: 4-1/4″ h x 6-3/4″ l x 3-3/4″ w. PROVENANCE: From the Private Collection of the Grand Niece of the Last Emperor Puyi (Reign 1906-1917) of the Qing Dynasty. Granddaughter of Puji and Great-Great Granddaughter of the Dowager Empress Cixi (Reign 1861-1908). CONDITION: Tip of spout with tiny fleck. Otherwise very good. 9-22147 (2,000-3,000)
