*SCARCE SMITH & WESSON K22 HAND EJECTOR FIRST MODEL OUTDOORSMAN DA REVOLVER. SN 662435. Cal. 22. Blue finish with 6″ tapered rnd bbl, pedestal mounted partridge front sight and rnd top frame with adjustable rear sight. Mounted with diamond checkered silver medallion walnut grips that are numbered to this revolver. Accompanied by its orig Chinese red 2-pc cardboard box with red metal corner reinforcements, gold embossed lettering and a picture of the revolver in gold on the lid. Accompanied by its orig screwdriver with tiny knurled aluminum handle. This is one of only about 19,500 of these fine revolvers produced in the period 1930-1940. Few survive today in new or near new condition such as this revolver, and orig boxes are exceedingly rare. CONDITION: Extremely fine, all matching including bbl, cyl & grips. Overall retains 98-99% glossy orig factory blue with only faint thinning around muzzle and right side of bbl near the muzzle from box wear. Grips are crisp with no hand oil stain and show little or no wear, with minor verdigris around grip screw escutcheons and medallions. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. May have been fired but if so very little. Box is completely sound with lightly fuzzed top corners and some light to moderate soil on the lid. Screwdriver is fine. 4-39257 JR301 (1,000-2,000)
