*SMITH & WESSON PRE-MODEL 40 CENTENNIAL SAFETY HAMMERLESS REVOLVER. SN 1142. Cal. 38 Spcl. Blue finish with 1-13/16″ bbl, fixed sights, 4-screw frame with flat latch and smooth S&W silver medallion magna grips numbered to this revolver. Accompanied by an orig Chinese red 2-pc box with blue & white end label for “38 CHIEFS SPECIAL / HAMMERLESS / ROUND BUTT” that is overstamped in two places “CENTENNIAL”. Also accompanied by an orig helpful hints bifold pamphlet for the Centennial revolver. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus, all matching including bbl, cyl & grips. Appears to be new & unfired retaining about all of its orig factory blue and case colors with only a faint cylinder line. Grips are equally new. Box is sound with slightly fuzzed corners and a small gouge in lid. Label has slightly curled top edge and is slightly yellowed, otherwise is very fine. 4-39278 JR279 (1,000-2,000)
