*EXTREMELY RARE FACTORY ENGRAVED WALTHER MODEL 9 SEMI-AUTO PISTOL WITH CASE. SN 525061. Cal. 6.35 mm (25 ACP). Beautiful little vest pocket pistol with 2″ bbl & smooth ivory grips. Left grip has a white & gold cloisonne button with initials “CW” in an oval. Right side has an engraved gold button with intertwined initials “LSD”. Pistol has about 80% coverage extremely fine foliate arabesque pattern engraving with “WALTHER” in a banner on left side of slide along with standard marking. Right side of slide also has standard Walther markings. Base of magazine is also engraved & has “WALTHER” in a banner. Entire pistol is gold washed. Accompanied by its orig black leatherette covered, black silk & velvet lined, “cigarette” style case form fitted in bottom for pistol. Top of case has gold embossed initials “L.S.D.”. PROVENANCE: Dr. Frank Miller Estate Collection. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Overall retains about 50% thin orig gold wash. Left grip has a couple of cracks with age lines on both sides. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore. Case has a few scuffs on lid but is equally fine. 4-36208 JR299 (3,000-5,000)
