BULLARD SPECIAL ORDER DELUXE RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. No visible serial number. Deluxe rifle with special order 24” oct to rnd bbl, 2/3 magazine, ivory bead front sight and a folding leaf rear sight with a Lyman “N” tang sight. It has nicely figured walnut with checkered forearm and straight stock with original Bullard hard rubber buttplate. CONDITION: About very good. Bbl & magazine tube retain about 90% original blue, thin and mixed with light patina. Receiver retains 85-90% thin original glossy blue mixed with light patina. Carrier is a gray patina, the lever, hammer & breech block retain generous amounts of original case colors. Stock is sound and retains 85-90% original varnish with numerous small nicks, scratches & a couple of bruises. Forearm has a hairline on the left side, otherwise is sound and retains about 50% original varnish with a scrape on the left side. Forearm screw is a replacement and the right escutcheon has been filed. Fine buttplate, good mechanics, bright shiny bore. 4-51525 JR1172 (7,500-12,500)
