TURN OF THE CENTURY ARCHITECTURAL MODEL OF A FRENCH MILITARY COMPLEX. Finely crafted of wood with faux-painting to simulate bricks and stone cornices, the complex consists of a wooden base enclosed by simulated brick, stone and metal fencing with a guard house at the front gates. Four smaller buildings, including a prison, surround the main structure. Six rooms are exposed when opening the various doors on the front of the main building, including a staircase from the first to the second floor. A large plaque on the front of the building reads “CASERNES,” “St. GEORGES.” The center peak also contains a clock. A most interesting model and certainly this would be of great interest to a collector of military figures for display purposes. SIZE: 52” w. x 24” d. x 30” t.
