RARE WINCHESTER MODEL ’94 TRAPPER CARBINE. Cal. 30 WCF (30-30). SN 1004798. Standard grade carbine with rare 15″ rnd bbl, full magazine, square base front sight, and carbine ladder rear sight. There is a stud & ring in the left side of receiver. Mounted with nicely figured, uncheckered, straight grain American walnut with straight stock and carbine buttplate. It has the rare extra short 7-7/8″ forearm and the bbl address is properly placed between the two bands. These rifles are classified as Curio or relic and exempt from the provision of the National Firearms Act of 1936. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains about 70% strong orig blue with the front half a thin blue/brown patina with a couple of light spots. Magazine tube retains about 50% blue in the sheltered areas with the outer edge a plum patina. Receiver has traces of blue in the very sheltered areas, being mostly a light silver/brown patina. Stock has a few dings & scratches and a hairline in back of the top tang; otherwise the wood is sound with a hand worn patina. Mechanics are fine. Bright shiny bore.
