ATTRIBUTED TO THEODORE EARL BUTLER (American, 1861-1932). “Giverny Afternoon”. Oil on canvas outdoor garden scene shows orange print covered round table with two wicker arm chairs, set in a very colorful garden area. The table setting includes a large vase of wildflowers, a blue compote with oranges, two cups and saucers with a sugar and creamer on tray. Two blue napkins are seen with one orange on top. Unsigned front. Signed on its original stretcher and titled. The original canvas is back stamped with a Paris canvas maker. Housed in a fine period wide gesso decorated frame. SIZE: 20” x 24” CONDITION: Very good. 9-99697 (2,500-3,000)
