WINCHESTER MODEL 1902 DOUBLE-W CARTRIDGE BOARD.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1902 DOUBLE-W CARTRIDGE BOARD. A cartridge board without cartridges produced by Winchester and rarely encountered in their orig form. It has a 49″ x 31-1/2″ image, nearly identical to the 1897 board with the addition of four more handgun cartridges and four additional rifle cartridges. The center vignette is identical with the two hunters and a dead bear while the duck has been moved to where his bill is completely visible and is referred to as the smiling duck. The moose is also slightly changed and is referred to as the contented moose. The logos and legends are virtually identical. It is mounted in its orig gold lined oak frame with the back being covered by heavy cardboard. CONDITION: Image is sharp and crisp with dark vivid colors, slightly faded on the center vignette. Frame is in extremely fine condition with only some minor corner damage. A rare and desirable board. 4-54114 JR736 (4,500-6,500)
