*ENGRAVED & GOLD PLATED SMITH & WESSON MODEL 30-1 DA REVOLVER. SN 800593. Cal. 32 S&W Long. Usual configuration with 4″ ribbed bbl, fixed sights, standard color case hardened trigger & hammer with rnd butt grip mounted with a Zorn cast metal grip that has an American eagle & shield on butt cap. Back edge of grip is similar to the antique Tiffany grip with Lady Liberty holding a flag on back strap and geometric and foliate arabesque patterns on the sides. Revolver is very nicely engraved with about 50% coverage foliate arabesque patterns with punch dot background. Top strap is engraved in feather patterns and the bbl rib has been hand matted. Matching foliate arabesque pattern engraving is on back strap & trigger bow with foliate sprays on the right side of the frame, ejector rod boss and opposite on the crane. Although no engraver’s signature could be found, this is undoubtedly a work by a master engraver as the quality is very high. CONDITION: Appears to be new & unfired retaining virtually all of its fine gold plated finish. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. 4-39290 JR306 (1,000-2,000)
