*ITHACA KNICK MODEL 5E GRADE SINGLE BARREL TRAP GUN. SN 405095. Cal. 12ga, 32″ bbl, checkered, tapered vent rib, Raybar front and ivory center sighting beads, FULL choke and ejector. Flat sides of bbl are engraved with bold foliate scroll. The grade 5 receiver is engraved with oval on left side with 2-color gold pheasant and right side with gold woodcock, bottom center has eagle clutching arrows over “MADE IN U.S.A.”. Top of trigger plate is marked “ITHACA GUN CO. / ITHACA, N.Y.”. Remainder is relief-engraved in a bold foliate scroll with shaded background. Top of frame is finely matted. Mounted with highly figured feather-grain walnut, sculpted checkered side panels, fleur-de-lis checkered pistol grip with ebony grip cap, Ithaca sunburst recoil pad, blank gold oval and checkered beavertail target forend. Bore measurements: Diameter: .726. Restriction: .037. Wall thickness: .054. Drop at heel: 1-7/8″. Drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 8lbs. 11oz. LOP 14-3/4″. Consignor states this 5E and 4E #405079 were made in 1963 and purchased together and have remained together for 47 years. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as gun appears test-fired only. Bbl retains 99% orig blue with a couple of minor handling marks and faint rub mark from forend. Receiver retains nearly all of its orig dark case colors. Trigger guard retains nearly all of its fine orig blue. Stock is sound with sharp checkering, virtually all of its orig finish with a couple of minor nicks & dings. Forend is sound with sharp checkering, virtually all its orig finish and a couple of small handling marks.
