WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. SN 31809. Standard grade rifle with 26″ oct bbl, full magazine, modified half-nickel front sight and modified semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine, as completely restored, retaining virtually all of its fine custom finish to both metal and wood, case colored receiver, lever, hammer & forend cap with blued buttplate. Mechanics are fine. Strong bore with light orange peel pitting. 4-54043 JR1 (1,250-1,750)
