*FINE COLT NEW SERVICE TARGET DA REVOLVER. SN 333393. Cal. 45 Colt. Blue finish with 7-1/2″ bbl, target front sight with replacement partridge blade and adjustable rear sight on the flat top strap. Mounted with checkered silver medallion walnut grips. It has checkered trigger and checkered front and back straps with fire-blued trigger & edges of hammer with sides of hammer polished bright. Left side of butt strap, under the grip, is stamped “376” which indicates factory refinish in March 1976. Only about 3,400 of these fine revolvers were produced in the period 1900-1940. CONDITION: Very fine. Overall retains 95-96% strong factory blue with light muzzle & sharp edge wear. Rampant Colt on sideplate is a little thin and there is a small cluster of pin prick surface discoloration. Grips are crisp with a slightly chipped left toe and a couple of chipped diamonds.
