*EXTREMELY RARE SPECIAL ORDER ITHACA KNICK MODEL SOUSA SPECIAL GRADE SINGLE BARREL TRAP GUN WITH SHRINER INSIGNIA. SN 400452T. Cal. 12ga, 32″ bbl, tapered, matted vent rib with dual ivory sighting beads, 2-3/4″ chamber, EXTRA FULL choke, with ejector. Bbl on each side of rib, flat sides of bbl & across top are engraved with a fine foliate arabesque scroll with ribbon on left side marked “ITHACA GUN CO.” and right side marked “ITHACA, N.Y. U.S.A.” Frame is fully engraved with tight foliate arabesque scrolls with oval on left side of gold pointer and right side a gold setter and bottom center a unique emblem of The Ancient Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine (A.O.N.M.S.), commonly known as the Shriners, in silver & gold with scimitar marked “Medina”. John Phillip Sousa was an active Shriner and wrote several marches dedicated to the Ancient Order. Trigger guard across bow has gold inlay of mermaid. Mounted with highly figured walnut, checkered side panels with sculpted edge, checkered straight grip with ribbons, Presentation Pachmayr red recoil pad, blank gold shield and checkered beavertail forend. Bore measurements: Diameter: .746. Restriction: .045. Wall thickness: .035. Drop at heel: 1-3/4″. Drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 8lbs. 3oz. LOP 14-1/2″. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains 98-99% orig blue with a couple small handling marks and faint rub mark from forend. Receiver retains dark orig case colors throughout with sharp engraving. Stock is sound with sharp checkering, factory finish with some minor nicks & scratches and some areas that are starting to craze.
