*VERY RARE MAUSER MODEL 1896 BROOMHANDLE FLAT SIDE LARGE RING PISTOL WITH SHOULDER STOCK. SN 27213. Cal. 30 Mauser. Rare flat side large ring broomhandle with 5-1/2″ tapered rnd bbl, barleycorn front sight & 50-1000m rear sight. Left side of frame is marked “VON LENGERKE / & DETMOLD / NEW-YORK” and it has the early large ring hammer spur with concentric rings. Fitted with 23-line walnut grips & has a lanyard stud in butt. Accompanied by its orig, matching numbered walnut stock/holster. CONDITION: Extremely fine, all matching. Pistol retains 97-98% strong orig blue with a few minor nicks & a couple of scratches on frame & slight edge wear on slide. Extractor, sight slide, firing pin retainer & safety retain most of their orig fire blue with strong straw colors on trigger & bolt knob. Grips are sound showing light wear, retaining most of their orig varnish. Stock has a hairline & chip in lid & a small hairline on back side with light nicks, scratches & bruises and retains most of its orig varnish.
