FINE TABLETOP DOUBLE STERIOPTICON IN ROSEWOOD. Late 19th century. This fine tabletop example allows two individuals to view a series of stereo cards suspended within the cabinet, the views changing with the turn of a knob fixed on the side of the cabinet. Two hinged lids at the top open to allow light for viewing and accessibility to the cards within. This lot is sold together with those stereo cards currently within the machine. SIZE: 19″ h. x 11″ w. x 13″ d. PROVENANCE: From an extensive private Gulf Coast collection. CONDITION: Cabinet retains original surfaces with good patina, lenses and mechanism in operational order.
