OGDEN MINTON PLEISSNER (American, 1905-1983) WINTER SHOOT. Watercolor on paper winter hunting scene shows man with brown coat, hat, pants and red socks with black boots aiming his gun at a grouse in flight. The grouse is seen flying over a rock wall in between large trees. The hunter stands next to a large tree and rock wall. Signed lower right “Pleissner”. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection, Monmouth, Maine (F.W. Woolworth Dept. Store Family). Housed in its original carved white and gray frame with white matte (discolored). SIGHT SIZE: 16-1/2” x 26-1/2”.
