Usual configuration with 6-5/8″ flat side bbl, having the bull’s eye logo and “MATCH TARGET” on left side with “THE WOODSMAN” on left side of frame. Slide has usual markings. Also accompanied by its orig hexagonal all-metal screwdriver. Additionally accompanied by its orig cardboard shipping sleeve with Colt address label to “R.V. Early match target pistols are, in and of themselves, rare items but first production pieces in their orig boxes with shipping sleeves are nearly unheard of. This is truly a rare item. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine, near new. Retains about 98-99% strong glossy orig blue with slight thinning at the muzzle end and faint sharp edge wear. Grip has a faint hairline below the grip screw escutcheon, otherwise is completely sound with one small ding on left ear and some dulling of the finish on right rear edge, otherwise retains most of its orig factory finish. Magazine is equally new. Box is completely sound with a couple of minor nicks in the lid and light damage on interior from the sights. Shipping sleeve is yellowed and lightly soiled. 4-39255 JR282 (2,000-3,000)
