EDMUND HENRY OSTHAUS (American, 1858-1928) SETTER ON POINT. Fine large watercolor of a black and white dog with front right leg up, tail up and head up in a classic pointing stance. Late fall foliage is seen on the woods, dry leaves and grass beneath dog. Signed lower right “Edmund Osthaus”. Housed in a gilt molded wood frame with tan matte. An outstanding example of this artist’s watercolor paintings. SIGHT SIZE: 15-1/4” x 21-1/4”. CONDITION: Very good, matte needs replacement. 9-99227 (7,000-9,000)
