PATENT MODEL: INK STAND BY S.C. CATLIN. Original patent tag #114,262, dated May 2, 1871. Cylindrical brass model on four brass feet with four ink receptacles at top with sliding lid and one receptacle holding sponge. Middle cylinder is removable. SIZE: 6″ 1/4″ t. x 5″ diam. CONDITION: Sponge receptacle shows mild bends, feet appear to be repaired, otherwise good. 1-1326 (500-1,000)
