PATENT MODEL: INK STAND BY ANDREW FIFE. Original patent tag #6,664, dated Aug. 21, 1849. Very nicely finished drum-shaped ink stand with inventor’s information on handwritten tag on top. Has black leather base. Underside reveals glass inkwell hidden by cardboard tag on top. SIZE: 1 3/4″ t. x 3 1/4″ diam. CONDITION: Leather is cracking, otherwise very good. 1-1397 (150-250)
