O’HAGAN (American, 1889-1932) TWO WORKS: SOUTHWESTERN DESERT. 1) Large oil on canvas western scene shows a sand desert with colorful bushes leading to tall mountains under blue and pink highlighted white cloud sky. Signed lower right. Housed in a white painted flat oak frame having a “H. Wunderlich & Co., New York” label. 2) Oil on canvas western scene shows a desert valley floor with sand & colorful bushes with tall mountains. Signed lower right. Housed in what appears to be its original frame which has a label with title “Santa Monica”. SIZE: 1) 30″ x 39-1/2″. 2) 28″ x 36″. CONDITION: 1) Craquelure, surface dirt, otherwise good. 2) Some chip paint loss due to craquelure, some overpaint in sky, in need of restoration. 9-23933 (1,000-1,500)
