MARLIN BALLARD NO 6-1/2 OFFHAND MID-RANGE RIFLE. Cal. Appears to be 40-65 Everlasting. SN 3344. Fine semi-Schutzen style target/hunting rifle with 30” oct to rnd mid-weight bbl, globe front sight, no provision for a rear sight, with a thick base vernier tang sight with 2-3/4” staff. Mounted with very nicely figured, checkered, American walnut with rnd forearm that has a horn tip and straight stock with cheekpiece and straight comb with nickeled brass, heavy Schutzen-style buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine, as completely & professionally restored. Retains virtually all of this fine custom finish to both metal & wood with bright blue on bbl and strong bright case colors, slightly faded on left side. Wood is sound with freshened checkering.
