*COLT PRE-WAR ACE SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. SN 269. Cal. 22 LR. Blue finish with 5″ civilian bbl without floating chamber. Slide has usual markings and frame has the serial number on the right side, back of the slide lock pin hole. Recoil spring guide is mounted with several layers of stacked leather as a spacer for the replaced spring. It is mounted with smooth, silver Colt medallion ivory grips and accompanied by an original two-tone magazine with marked base. This pistol has been completely and expertly restored by Turnbull Restorations. CONDITION: Very fine. Overall retains virtually all of this fine restored finish with strong Colt-type blue. Magazine is equally fine with its wonderful restored finish. Grips have crisp edges and retain a light ivory patina. Recoil spring is a replacement and somewhat weak. Mechanics are fine.
