RUSSIAN COMMEMORATIVE PAPERWEIGHT. Very unusual paperweight commemorates the 100th anniversary of Vladimir Lenin’s birth. The paperweight has an enclosed dome with a sulfide bust of the Russian leader. When viewed from the front side, the sulfide is reflected onto the back and shows as a straight on, full size image. When viewed from the backside, the sulfide is viewed as if it was in a glass dome. Bottom of the front is inscribed “1870-1970” and the side of the paperweight has a written verse in Russian. Signed by the artist on the rim of the sulfide “H. Cokoaoe”. SIZE: 5-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-60856 (1,500-2,000)
