FINE REMINGTON HEPBURN SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. Cal. 38/55. SN 10006. 30” oct bbl. Walnut stock. Wind gauge front sight. Rear bbl sight has been removed. Lyman peep sight has replaced the vernier tang sight. Standard Remington markings on top of bbl with “HEPBURNS PAT / OCT. 7TH 1879”. Also equipped with rear double set triggers. Notch has been filed in bottom of receiver. CONDITION: 95% dull blue on bbl, worn on edges and at rear sight slot. Brilliant casehardening colors on the action, silvering out on triggerguard bow. There is a bruise in the center of the comb of the stock, otherwise excellent. Bore is bright with light pitting at front of chamber. 4-30735 FS134 (3,500-5,000)
