EDWEARD MUYBRIDGE (American, 1830-1904) “TISAYAC, VALLEY OF THE YO-SEMITE”. Matted albumen print mammoth plate shows a mountain landscape with valley below. The print has been glued to its original board with a gold border edge, the bottom left with “Muybridge” and bottom right “San Francisco”. Having a pasted on label at bottom of mount reading “Bradley & Rulofson, 429 Montgomery St., S.F. Publishers. Tisayac. Valley of the Yo-Semite. (Guardian Spirit) ‘Half Dome’ 4750 feet high. Muybridge Photo”. Housed in a modern hinged matte. SIZE: Total size including backing board is 24-1/2″ x 29-1/2″. Print is 17″ x 21-1/2″. CONDITION: The left side of the original mounting has water stain and discoloration but does not effect the photographic print. Otherwise very good. 9-94273 (2,000-3,000)
