*COLT MODEL 1911A1 ASIATIC-PACIFIC THEATER COMMEMORATIVE SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. SN 5721PTO. Cal. 45 ACP. Bright chrome finish with usual configuration marked on left side of slide with the names of battles of WWII in Pacific Theater. Company name & address and a rampant Colt are on left front of frame. Right side of slide is inscribed “WORLD WAR II COMMEMORATIVE / PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS”. Fitted with smooth rosewood grips with gold medallions & accompanied by an orig satin chrome magazine. Also accompanied by its orig light colored wood display case with faux bamboo top & glass interior in the lid with green velvet lining in bottom, fitted for the pistol, a silver rectangular plaque & seven chrome plated dummy cartridges. CONDITION: New & unfired, pistol retains virtually all of its orig factory finish. Case has a minor ding & a few scratches on front, otherwise is equally fine. 4-35484 JR431 (1,500-2,500)
