MODEL 1860 HENRY LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 44 RF Henry. SN 5447. Usual configuration with 24-1/4″ oct bbl with integral magazine tube, German silver front sight and 900-yard ladder rear sight without a seat in the top of the receiver. It has straight grain walnut stock without sling swivels and has the “Henry bump” with later style brass buttplate with pointed heel and a trap. All matching, with the serial number appearing on the left side of the lower tang under the wood, in the top tang channel of the stock and inside the toe of the buttplate. The tang screws appear to be orig while the buttplate screws are probably very old replacements. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl & magazine tube retain a fine smooth dark plum/brown patina with sharp edges. Receiver was cleaned and is now beginning to patinate. It has a minor ding or two around the sideplates. Stock is sound and retains most of an old refinish. Mechanics are fine, worn dark bore with heavy pitting. Extractor appears to have the tip broken away. 4-54925 JR124 (10,000-15,000)
