SHARPS MODEL 1874 SPORTING RIFLE. Cal. 44-2-5/8” SN 155254 30” part oct bbl. Walnut stock. Pewter forearm tip. Dbl set triggers. Standard, one-line Hartford address on bbl with “CALIBRE 44” at rear and “SHARPS RIFLE CO / PAT APR.6.1869” on left side of receiver. CONDITION: Very good, with 60% blue on bbl with surface rust and light-to-moderate pitting on bottom. Casehardening is mostly silvered out with traces of color on left side of receiver and on lockplate in protected areas. Lever , trigger plate and buttplate have silvered out and turned dark. Wood has normal handling marks with hairline cracks at buttplate. Mechanically fine. Bore is bright with light-to-moderate pitting near chamber. 4-30631 FS33 (7,000-12,000)
