AFTER WINSLOW HOMER (American, 1836-1910) “THE FOG WARNING”. Large etching shows a fisherman rowing through large waves looking out at fog bank with distant schooner. His boat is laden with large halibut. Signed in plate “Winslow Homer” and “Hamilton Hamilton”. Pencil signed by left remark “Winslow Homer” and in right corner below signature “Hamilton Hamilton”. The print also at top left corner printed “Copyright 1887 Fishel Adler & Schwartz, New York”. Housed in its original stained oak carved wood frame with thick white matte. SIZE: Image: 20″ x 31-1/2″. Sight: 23-1/2″ x 34″. CONDITION: Some light toning, a C-shaped tear in bottom margin. Otherwise good. 9-97548 (3,000-5,000)
