AN UNUSUAL 29” KESTNER 249 CHARACTER DOLL. A hard to find mold number (JDK 249), this young lady features blue glass sleep eyes with applied lashes, and is on a marked “Kestner” fully jointed composition body. Also present is a paper label indicating that this doll was purchased from G. A. SCHWARZ of Philadelphia, Penn. She is of fine quality bisque and is wearing an antique cotton white dress with eyelets and an original strawberry blonde mohair wig. This doll is also holding an embroidered purse. CONDITION: Slight cheek rub, hands are mismatched, otherwise generally very good. JL 1-3417 (800-1,000)
